Ingredients
Eggs: 1 dozen
Unsweetened cottage cheese or powder milk: 3 cups
Sugar: 2 cups
Small cardamoms: 10 (grind with 2 tsp sugar)
Dalda Banaspati: 2 cups
Almonds and pistachios: 10 each (blanched and slivered)
Recipy
1. Beat eggs and sugar together.
2. Put all the powder milk or cottage cheese in a heave-based pan, add the beaten eggs and sugar.
3. Stir and mix well.
4. Also add the banaspati and cardamoms.
5. Now place the pan on low heat and stir lightly.
6. When the mixture begins to granulate, stir hard.
7. Soon the mixture will begin to change in color, it will darken a little and the banaspati will separate.
8. Now lower the heat and stir for at least 20 minutes.
9. Meanwhile grease a medium sized square or rectangular shallow dish or a tray.
10. Spread the mixture on it and level it with the back of a flat spoon.
11. Sprinkle slivered almonds and pistachio nuts on it and leave to cool.
12. Now cut into small rectangular or square shapes.
13. Store in a cool dry place.
